The art style is “Retro HD”, sort of “photorealistic pixels” I suppose. It’s a unique collage-style I came up with to create a retro look without actually being limited and low-res. It was great to return to <a href="http://blog.sambeddoesdesign.com/post/14319430270/a-design-i-created-for-a-beer-pump-for-hop">this design</a>, the brewery had originally rejected mine in favour of a <a href="http://www.hopmonster.co.uk/templates/waterandstone/images/img_header.jpg">more cartoony design by somebody else</a> but recently contacted me having changed their minds after their cartoons had caused issues with the brand. I love Nando’s and Peri-Peri chicken, and I love designing for catering and food production businesses. I always feel I’m on the right track when the logo starts giving me a craving for the food it’s advertising. The client asked for the logo to contain references to chilli and chicken, and to project an image of being more healthy than most hot foods.
